Privacy Policy

The information you enter — including event names, guest names, addresses, phone numbers, gift amounts, and notes — is stored exclusively on your device in a local database (SQLite). We run no servers of our own, so this data is never sent to us, and we cannot view, retrieve, recover, or restore it.

The one exception is the optional Scan feature, which sends a photo you choose to Google's Gemini service to read its text. See Internet Use and Third-Party Services below. Apart from that feature, the App does not transmit your data anywhere.

All core features of the App — adding, editing, searching, and exporting your records — work entirely offline. No account, sign-in, or internet connection is required to use them.

The App connects to the internet in only one situation: when you use the optional Scan feature to read entries from a photo of a paper register. In that case the selected photo is sent to Google's Gemini service for text recognition, using a Gemini API key that you provide in Settings. The photo is transmitted directly from your device to Google; it does not pass through, and is not stored on, any server operated by us. If you never use the Scan feature, the App makes no network requests.

The only third-party service the App uses is Google's Gemini API, and only when you choose to use the optional Scan feature. At that point the photo you select is sent to Google to extract its text, under the Gemini API key you configure in Settings. Google's handling of that request is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy. The App sends Google none of your other data and does not use the Scan feature unless you start it.

Aside from that, the App does not integrate, embed, or use any third-party service, SDK, or library for:

• Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
• Advertising or ad networks
• Crash reporting or diagnostics
• Cloud storage, sync, or backup services
• Social media integration
• Push notifications
• Location services
• Device fingerprinting or identification

All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. The App offers an optional 6-digit PIN lock feature to restrict access to individual events. This PIN is stored locally using a one-way hash and is never transmitted.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are solely responsible for the safety, backup, and preservation of your data. Data may be permanently lost due to:

• Uninstalling or deleting the App
• Factory resetting your device
• Device loss, theft, damage, or hardware failure
• Operating system updates or upgrades
• Clearing the App's data or cache from device settings
• Storage corruption or filesystem errors
• Any other event that results in deletion of local app data

We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or unavailability of data for any reason whatsoever. We do not provide data recovery services. We strongly recommend using the App's export feature to create regular backups.

The App allows you to export data as JSON, CSV, or PDF files, and import from JSON or CSV. These files are created on your device and may contain personal information.

You are solely responsible for how you share, store, transmit, or dispose of exported files. We are not responsible for unauthorized access to exported data.

The export feature is currently free. We reserve the right to modify, restrict, or monetize export functionality in future updates.

The App may request:

• Camera — Only when you choose to photograph a paper register for the Scan feature
• Photos / Media — Only when you choose an existing photo of a register to scan
• Internet — Used only by the Scan feature to send the selected photo to Google for text recognition (see Internet Use)
• File access — Required for importing and exporting data files
• Vibration/Haptics — Used for tactile feedback on actions

The App does not request permissions for microphone, location, contacts, calendar, or any other sensitive features.

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we operate no servers and do not receive user data, we hold no personal information about any user, including children.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your specific requirements
• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The data stored will be accurate, reliable, or complete
• Any defects will be corrected
• The App will be compatible with future OS versions

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING:

• Loss of data, records, or information
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Financial losses from inaccurate records
• Damages from inability to access or use the App
• Damages from unauthorized access to your device
• Any other damages arising from use of the App

The App is a personal record-keeping tool. The accuracy of data entered is your responsibility. Records should not be considered legal, financial, or official documents.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time without prior notice. We are not obligated to maintain, support, or update the App.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chandigarh, India.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of changes.
